We rejoice in every joy in it, as its people rejoice, and we are proud of any success it achieves, as they are proud of the Egypt that was taken from it Arab culture, in return, gave it very much of its civilization and heritage that preceded the arrival of Islam, and in the modern era, Egypt was the melting pot of Arab enlightenment and modernity, and its culture still contains within it the elements of a new Arab enlightenment renaissance, in the face of extremism, fanaticism, and ignorance, so salute to the great, dear Egypt On the heart.
A tribute to Bahrain
In his speech, Madan noted that choosing him as Personality of the Year at the Arab level is also a tribute to “the cultural, literary and intellectual movement in my homeland, which is a small island and is probably the smallest Arab country in area, and perhaps the least in population, but it is distinguished by the vitality and dynamism of its society and the long-standing cultural traditions.” And civilization inherited from the Dilmun civilization through the various eras, foremost among which are the eras of Arab-Islamic civilization. We are a living society interacting with its Arab and non-Arab surroundings as well. Bahrain is proud of the creative names of its sons and daughters that are known in the Arab world in the world of poetry, narrative, thought and the arts. Egypt was a culture, thought and civilization. She always inspires us with the generosity of her symbols and her great stature.”
