President of the Bahraini Indian Association, Abdul Rahman Juma, said that a Bahraini trade delegation will visit India next November as part of efforts to strengthen relations between the two countries.
Juma’s speech coincides with the visit of an Indian delegation to the Kingdom to discuss investment opportunities, where the association held a joint meeting with members of the delegation.
Juma said, on the sidelines of the General Assembly meeting of the Bahraini Indian Association, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel yesterday evening, and the meeting with the Indian trade delegation, that arrangements are currently being made for the Bahraini delegation’s visit with official participation.

He stressed the participation of the Bahraini Indian Society in various economic and social activities that contribute to consolidating historical relations.
He pointed out that the association organized 12 different events and activities during the past year, and that it will continue its activity in the coming period, as it is expected to host Minister of Labor Jamil Humaidan at the next meeting in May, as hoped.
He spoke about the active contribution of the association’s members, including Bahraini and Indian companies and businessmen, as the association continues to receive new members and enhance its role in the business sector.
The number of members of the association is estimated at approximately 120, as the association was established 16 years ago, at the initiative of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the “Al-Bilad” Media Foundation, Abdulnabi Al-Shu’la, and a group of businessmen and professionals.
Revenue development
The association’s total revenues for the year ending on December 31, 2023 amounted to 21,509 Bahraini dinars, while total expenses amounted to 23,680 Bahraini dinars. The net deficit for the financial year ending on December 31, 2023 was 2,171 Bahraini dinars, while the bank balance amounted to 24,438 Bahraini dinars.
The members discussed the association’s upcoming activities, as well as a number of ideas to develop the association’s revenues and support funding for the establishment of economic and social activities and events.

After completing the association’s general assembly meeting, the association’s members and businessmen received the Indian delegation visiting Manama, which consists of about 20 businessmen representing a number of Indian companies in a number of sectors that include energy, agriculture, marketing, publishing, real estate development, and building materials.
The head of the Indian delegation visiting Manama, President of the Travancore Central Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Abraham Molamutil, told Al-Bilad that there are many opportunities for cooperation between India and Bahrain.
He pointed out that the delegation’s goals are to highlight the spirit of entrepreneurship, diversity of resources and innovation in Bahrain and India, and to showcase the strengths and capabilities of industries and companies in Kerala, in addition to exploring potential business and industry opportunities in Bahrain.
He stated that the delegation seeks to strengthen partnerships, exchange knowledge, and enhance economic cooperation between Kerala and Bahrain, as areas of interest for cooperation include human resources and skills development, infrastructure development, tourism and hospitality, food and agricultural industries, artificial intelligence and information technology, green hydrogen energy and renewable energy.
He explained that there is a proposal for a green hydrogen mini-grid project for decarbonization and the Green Hydrogen Innovation Institute (DHII).
In the field of vital healthcare and hospitals, he proposed the introduction of “BIOCALCULUS”, a complete ecosystem for accurate and rapid cardiac diagnostics using wearable devices in health services.
