Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched air and missile strikes on targets in three countries at the same time. First, targets were fired at in the northern regions of Syria and Iraq. In the evening of that day, targets in western Pakistan were attacked.
Tehran presented this in response to the murder of a number of high-ranking officials of the IRGC and political forces allied with Iran, as well as the terrorist attack in the cemetery in Kerman. Iran’s leadership is happy to demonstrate to its people its ability to counter foreign threats by using modern weapons.
