Jacob’s Well has killed many divers, with an estimated 300 people having lost their lives since the site became famous.
Said to be 42m deep, Jacob’s Well is the second largest underwater cave in Texas, located in a cave system spanning 1,500km.
Jacob’s Well, a 12-foot-wide opening in the bed of Cypress Creek, is one of the underwater caves that especially attracts adventurers.
The dangers of Jacob’s Well have left many divers dead, with an estimated 300 people having lost their lives since the site became famous.
Despite warning signs, adventurous people still visit Jacob’s well.
This underwater cave has narrow and deep openings, causing divers to face many difficulties and dangers.
The Jacob’s Well Exploration Project began with the efforts of divers in the early 20th century and has progressed to map the entire cave system below the well.
The results of the project show that there are two main tunnels, one of which is up to 1,372 meters long.
