The Russian Foreign Intelligence Agency said on Monday that the United States has intensified its efforts to find a new president for Ukraine as an alternative to Volodymyr Zelensky.
The agency added that the United States does not care who will lead Ukraine as long as he is able to continue the armed conflict with Russia.
Russian Foreign Intelligence indicated that Washington and Brussels record the dissatisfaction of Ukrainian citizens with the prolongation of the conflict with Russia, as well as the increasing levels of mistrust in the state.
She also said that Zelensky is losing the battle to “win the minds and hearts of Ukrainians,” and will completely lose his legitimacy after May 20th.
The agency noted that cases of desertion and voluntary surrender are increasing among the Ukrainian forces.
Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, had previously expressed his belief that the West had decided to eliminate Zelensky.
In a statement on the Telegram platform, he touched on the arrest of a person in Poland suspected of trying to leak information that could be used to assassinate Zelensky.
Medvedev claimed that there are reasons why Zelensky is in a “state of panic,” and other reasons why he could be assassinated in Poland.
In this regard, he said: “This may be the first evidence that the West has decided to eliminate it.”
