The head of the Court of Instruction Number 41 of Madrid, Juan Carlos Peinado, has officiated at the Central Operational Unit (UCO) of the Civil Guard in the case opened against Begoña Gomezwife of the President of the Government, Pedro Sanchezfollowing a complaint from Clean hands for alleged crimes of influence peddling and business corruption.
According to ‘El Mundo’ and sources from the investigation confirm, Last week, the judge addressed this unit specialized in the fight against corruption to take charge of the investigation proceedings.
The Madrid Prosecutor’s Office presented an appeal directly before the Provincial Court in which she requested that it revoke the order by which Judge Juan Carlos Peinado accepted the complaint of Manos Cleans against Begoña Gómez.
According to tax sources, the Public Ministry requested the file last Wednesday, April 24, after it was announced that the proceedings that remain secret had been opened.
In addition, the head of court 41 of Madrid has summoned two media officials as witnesses this Friday who published the news on which the accusation is based, at the request of Clean Hands.
