The Ministry of Health issued a call to the population regarding acute respiratory infections.
Publika.az informs that this was said by therapist Gunay Ismayilova, an expert of the Ministry of Health, while talking about respiratory viruses.
According to him, acute respiratory infections are mainly spread by airborne droplets and are highly infectious.
The therapist said that this infection is more common in the autumn-winter season: “Indoor gathering in cold weather, weakening of the immune system, as well as low consumption of fruits and vegetables make illness inevitable. Influenza usually lasts for 1 week, if the duration is prolonged, additional bacteria are added to the viral infections. For this reason, it is recommended to consult a doctor.”
The official of the ministry noted that 25% of acute respiratory infections are caused by the flu: “The main symptoms of the disease are cough, high fever, sore throat, irritation, chills, weakness, etc. The incubation period of influenza lasts 2-3 days, and the disease lasts 1 week. Influenza can have serious complications if not treated properly. In order not to get sick, proper nutrition rich in vitamins and fluid balance are essential. “Sleep mode also plays a big role in strengthening the immune system.”
