Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with Maldivian Foreign Minister Musa Zameer within the framework of the 19th Summit of the Heads of State and Government of the Non-Aligned Movement held in Kampala, Uganda.

It was emphasized that the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), which will be held in the country this year, is important for the further development of bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Maldives congratulated the country for its successful chairmanship of the Non-Aligned Movement and expressed his confidence that Azerbaijan, as a member of the troika, will spare no efforts to strengthen the Movement. He emphasized the importance of developing cooperation between the two countries in tourism, air transport, education and other humanitarian fields.
Other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest were also discussed during the meeting.
