The Minsa declared the suspension of the Serums process after the CMP evidence

The dean of Medical College of Peru (CMP), Pedro Riegarevealed that during the restart of the allocation of places in the Rural and Urban Marginal Health Service (Serums) identified several applicants who would have manipulated his grades.

In statements to the press, the doctor explained that it is eight doctors who participated in the process “without having taken the National Medicine Exam”along with another irregular case detected internally, although it did not provide more details about it.

«We are in the process of awarding. “We have a representative from the Medical College who is overseeing transparency, and we have identified a few cases of possible alterations in grades.”he claimed.

Riega explained that they detected eight cases of applicants who had presented false documentation by not having rendered the National Medical Exam (ENM). In addition, an additional case was detected during the process, which will also be investigated and sanctioned.

The dean of the Medical College indicated that they are carrying out investigations to determine the sanctions corresponding to the cases detected.

This event occurs after the Ministry of Health (Minsa) decided to temporarily suspend, for a period of 72 hours, the process of allocating Serums medical places, following observations raised by the CMP through its dean, Pedro Riega.
