Bangladesh Army has recently issued a notification for the recruitment of soldiers. Manpower will be recruited in General Trades (GD) and Technical Trades. The application process started on January 10 and will continue till February 15. Recruitment will be done from 64 districts. Both men and women can apply.
Educational Qualification: General Trade (GD): Passed SSC or equivalent examination with minimum GPA-3.
Technical Trade: Passed from SSC Vocational with minimum GPA-3 in relevant technical subject. After passing SSC/equivalent, there should be 6 months training in the relevant trade course from the institute approved by the Technical Education Board. Preference will be given to those who have completed science department or diploma course.
Age Limit: Should not be less than 17 years and not more than 20 years on 9 February 2025. Age limit is relaxable by maximum one year in case of candidates with driving experience.
Physical fitness Male: For both posts, male candidates should have height of minimum 5 feet 5 inches, weight minimum 49.90 kg and chest size 30 inches normal and 32 inches inflated. But in case of candidates belonging to different minority communities, the height should be at least 5 feet 4 inches.
Female: In case of female candidates, height should be at least 5 feet 1 inch, weight should be at least 47 kg and chest size should be 28 inches normal and 30 inches inflated. However, height should be at least 5 feet in case of candidates belonging to different ethnic groups.
Marital Status: Must be single.
How to Apply: Interested candidates should first send small message through teletalk prepaid number. Go to the message option and send the first three letters of the SSC pass board, roll number, year of pass and district code to 16222 to apply for the post of soldier. After the first SMS a pin number will be sent after verifying the candidate’s details. Once you get the pin number, send a small message again. In this case, 300 rupees should be sent for the application fee. After the second SMS the candidate will be given a User ID and Password. With that you have to go to this website and fill the application form.
