MADRID (Portaltic/EP) -Apple is working on a version of its Safari browser that will offer an advanced search experience powered by artificial intelligence (AI) and a tool to remove content from the websites you visit.
The technology company is preparing to incorporate functions powered by the latest AI technology into its products and services, which are expected to be announced within the framework of the annual developers conference WWDC 2024, in June.
One of these new features will be a version of its browser with smart search functions, which it plans to launch with the Safari 18 iteration, as sources familiar with this topic have shared with Apple Insider.
This browser will incorporate a user interface with a new control menu in the navigation bar, which will host the new smart search, which appears to be powered by an AI running on the device based on the Ajax language model.
AI will allow, for example, to summarize the content of a web page, based on the identification of the topics covered and the key words and phrases, as explained in the specialized portal.
It will also have a Web Eraser function, which will allow you to delete parts of a web page (such as ads, images or text), and which is part of Safari’s set of privacy functions, according to the sources consulted. Safari will remember the changes on subsequent visits, although they can also be reverted.
