A student named Tanjim Muntaka Sarba stood first in the MBBS entrance examination for the academic year 2023-24. He is a student of Holy Cross School and College in the capital.

Tanzim Muntaka secured first place in National Merit by getting maximum marks of 92.5.

On Sunday (11 February), the Minister of Health and Family Welfare Dr. Samanta Lal Sen announced the result of the admission test.

The health minister said that the pass rate this year is 47.83 percent. Among them, the pass rate of male students is 40.98 percent, and the pass rate of female students is 59.2 percent.

Notably, a total of one lakh four thousand 374 people have applied for admission this year. One lakh two thousand 369 of them took the exam. And 2 thousand 5 people were absent in the exam. Absence rate is 1.92 percent.

Earlier on Friday (February 9) at 10 am, the MBBS admission test for the academic year 2023-24 was held simultaneously across the country. One lakh 4 thousand 374 students sat in merit war in 44 venues of 19 centres.
