MBBS 2023-24 admission test will be held tomorrow Friday. In the meantime, the admit card download of the admitted students has been completed.

The one-hour examination will start at 10 am on Friday (February 9) and will continue till 11 pm. Candidates should enter the center by 9:30 am 30 minutes before the start of the exam. No candidate will be allowed to enter the center after the scheduled time.

According to the information of the Directorate of Health Education, the examination will be held simultaneously in 44 venues of 19 examination centers across the country. The total number of seats in 37 government medical colleges of the country is 5 thousand 380. Besides, the total number of seats in 67 medical colleges approved at the private level is 6 thousand 295.

The Ministry of Health and the Directorate of Health Education have given this information in a circular on Thursday (February 8) and given some instructions for the candidates.

Aspirants have to answer 100 MCQ questions in this exam of 100 marks in one hour. Additional decimal 25 or 1.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

The admission test is of as many marks
In the written admission test, 100 questions will carry 1 mark each for a total of 100 marks (as per HSC or equivalent syllabus). The subject-wise division will be held according to Physics 20, Chemistry 25, Biology 30, English 15 and General Knowledge (Bangladesh History and Liberation War) 10. 25 decimal marks will be deducted for each wrong answer in the written test. Score less than 40 marks in the written test will be considered as failed. Any student scoring less than 40 marks in the entrance test will not be considered eligible for admission.

Pass number 40 in MBBS and BDS
The minimum marks (pass mark) in the MBBS and BDS admission test has been kept at 40 like last time. Students will get three times for migration. All colleges have been kept open for private medical admissions. That is, students can give their choice in all colleges at once, the same rule is maintained in government medical colleges as well.

As many marks can be deducted for students who want to take admission for the second time
10 marks will be deducted for second time admission students who are enrolled in public and private medical and dental colleges. The district quota has been canceled in the admission test this academic year. If the seats in Muktijoddha quota are not filled within the stipulated time, ordinary students will get admission in those seats.

On February 9, the examination center/venue gate will open at 8 AM. No candidate will be allowed to enter the hall after 9:30 am on the day of examination.

Candidates should bring color print copy of admit card.

There will be separate checking of candidates (Boys and Girls) at the Centre/Venue. Entry of students will be monitored through archways along with metal detectors so that candidates cannot enter with any electronic devices other than admit cards and ballpoint pens.

The invigilator (room inspector) will allow the students to enter the entrance exam center/venue from 8:00 a.m. in the examination room after 8:00 a.m. by matching the face of the candidate with the watermark and color photo of the candidate in the admit card. Officials in charge will be present at the center and confirm the matter.

৫.
Candidates, invigilators, venue officials and officials of the Ministry/Department shall not carry mobiles, electronic devices, bluetooth, earphones etc. in any way.

৬.
No one involved in the work related to the admission test can enter the entrance examination hall with a mobile phone.

No person other than the persons concerned with the admission test will be allowed to enter the admission test centre/venue.

After the directive to close the medical admission coaching centers from last January 10, the offline coaching center has been closed by operating the mobile court with the cooperation of the district administration. Apart from this, law enforcement and intelligence agencies are continuing to stop online coaching and prevent cyber crime.

৯.
Photocopiers around the examination centers will be closed on the day of the examination. If anyone found involved in any kind of malpractice/cheating/rumour-mongering related to the examination, legal action will be taken against him and extensive publicity will be taken.
