AUSSENWIRTSCHAFT AUSTRIA presents outstanding product design from Austria in a palazzo. An idyllic garden becomes an oasis of peace for the international specialist scene.
Vienna (OTS) – In April, the Milan furniture fair attracts the international who’s who of the interior and design scene to Italy. There will be 30 Austrian companies presenting their product highlights during the Milan Design Week at the DESIGN PALAZZO AUSTRIA in downtown Milan: from the armchair designed for Konstantin Filippou’s gourmet restaurant to natural fiber carpets designed by an award-winning Innsbruck studio to the bed from the Bregenzerwald, which sets an example not only with its design, but also with its degradability. The juried objects will be presented by AUSSENWIRTSCHAFT AUSTRIA in a palazzo in the trendy Brera district. The Viennese architecture studio Vasku & Klug stages the exhibits in the magnificent rooms.
“Over 400,000 people from all over the world travel to Milan for the design festival. It is the industry event par excellence,” explains Reanne Leuning, Project Manager Creative Industries at AUSSENWIRTSCHAFT AUSTRIA. 30 selected designers, manufacturers and traditional companies will present the creative power of Austria to the specialist audience. In the middle of the lively Brera Design District, Studio Vasku & Klug transforms a 17th-century palazzo into a glamorous exhibition. The garden of the historic building becomes a retreat where visitors can linger.
“The Palazzo Confalonieri, which dates back to the 17th century, has a very inviting charm with its garden open to the street. This continues inside and offers a gentle framework for the presentation of the exhibits,” explain the two designers Andreas Klug and Michael Vasku. “The exhibition celebrates Austria’s hospitality in a unique atmosphere. We warmly invite visitors to get an idea of it – and of course the quality and beauty of the objects,” says Reanne Leuning.
