The killer husband Hamidul Bhuiyan (28) was caught by the BGB while fleeing to India after killing the bride by slitting her throat in Akhaura, Brahmanbaria. On Wednesday (February 14) at 11 a.m., members of the BGB’s Fakirmora camp arrested him from the Hirapur Bara Mora border of the upazila.
Hamidul died in that area. Son of Latif Bhuya. He recently returned from Saudi Arabia.
BGB 25 battalion captain Lt. confirmed the matter. Colonel Syed Arman Arif. He said that Hamidul Bhuiyan was arrested while roaming suspiciously. After checking, it is known that he is accused of murdering his wife. He has been handed over to the police.
Police and locals said that about 7-8 months ago when Hamidul Bhuiya was in Saudi Arabia, Sadar Upazila’s Vasudev village. Razzaq’s daughter Taslima married Akhtar on the phone. Recently, Hamidul returned to the country. On February 10, Hamidul brought Taslima to his home through a family ceremony. Hamidul killed Taslima by slitting her throat in the house where they were living on Tuesday (February 13) afternoon after 3 days of formal marriage.
At that time, Hamidul’s elder brother Hanif Bhuiya came forward after seeing the incident and tried to cut his throat. Hanif was admitted to the District Headquarters Hospital with serious injuries.
