Our source informs that the President of Artsakh, Samvel Shahramanian, was clearly told not to take any step that could provoke Ilham Aliyev’s anger. on February 21, the 36th anniversary of the Artsakh movement, not to visit Yrablur, not to spread messages. Do everything so that February 21 passes silently, as the RA statesmen did.
The RA authorities, neither at the level of the president, nor the prime minister, nor the speaker of the National Assembly, did not say a word that day, did not spread messages, did not pay tribute. While Shahramanyan, ignoring the warnings, visited Yrablur, he was accompanied by Gagik Baghunts, who is performing the duties of the NA Speaker, Artur Tovmasyan, the former Speaker of the NA, and other figures from Artsakh, who also gave interviews.
Then, according to our information, a meeting was also held at the Artsakh information headquarters with the participation of the founders of the Artsakh movement, and harsh criticisms were voiced against the authorities. The incident with Shahramanyan’s bodyguard (the insult directed at the journalist) was simply a “gift” to the authorities, which they fully used to raise an anti-Artsakh wave. And in the background of this, it became possible to call Shahramanyan to the Anti-Corruption Committee and present to the public that the people of Artsakh are “drug addicts and criminals” and are walking around with cursing bodyguards. The president’s bodyguard, who is also a two-time sambo world champion, was arrested for 2 days and was released yesterday. No illegal items were found either in his car or in his house.”
