Actor Lou Ferrigno cancels his visit to Peru due to knee surgery

The American actor was scheduled to participate in the Comic Day Festival 2024 as one of the special guests

Lou Ferrigno, recognized for his role as Hulk in the classic series 70’shas had to cancel his planned visit to Peru due to a health problem. The actor had planned to participate in the Comic Festival Day 2024.

In addition to his iconic role in the television series «The incredible Hulk«, Ferrigno has also had an impact on cinema with films such as «Hercules Challenge» y «Sinbad and the seven seas«. Likewise, he provided the voice for the Hulk character in the “The Avengers«, while Mark Ruffalo played Bruce Banner.

According to a social media post from Comic Book Festival Day, the American actor experienced complications after undergo knee surgeryresulting in him returning to the hospital due to an infection.

In an emotional video shared by the festival, Ferrigno informs his followers that he is in recovery process after undergoing a «major surgery«, which unfortunately prevents him from being present at this year’s event. However, he assures that will be present in the next edition.

The organization’s statement also encourages followers to come to the May 4th starting at 8 pm to the main stage of the event, located in the Av. de La Peruanidad, in Jesús Maríato send a message of encouragement to Ferrigno: «Get well soon, Lou.’

The 2024 Comic Festival Day will take place from May 2 to 5 on Av. de La Peruanidad, in Jesús María. Among the notable guests are Hiroshi Tokoro, recognized for his participation in the Japanese series «Jiban Motorized Detective«, along with the actors of «Power Rangers«, Jack Guzmán and Phillip Andrew, from the season «Wild force«.
