Two youths were arrested while giving proxy for the submission exam in Sundarganj, Gaibandha. On Sunday (18 February) in the evening, Sundarganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Mahbub Alam confirmed this to Jago News.
Earlier, they were detained from Boali Darul Ulum Senior Madrasa center of the upazila around 11:30 am.
The arrested are Liton Mia’s son of Pada area of Masjid Malibari village of Gaibandha Sadar Upazila. Son of Shaon Mia (17) and Naya Mia of Barmatal Malibari village of the same upazila. Amit Hassan (19).
According to the police, at around 11:30 am on Sunday, the submission test for Arabic first paper started at Boali Darul Uloom Senior Madrasa Center. Meanwhile, two examinees named Mominul Islam and Shahidul Islam of Sakher Bazar Dakhil Madrasa participated in the examination instead of Shawn Mia and Amit Hasan. After learning about giving proxies instead of others in the examination, the Union Secretary immediately arrested them and handed them over to the police.
Boali Darul Ulum Senior Madrasah Principal and Secretary Md. Md. Harunur Rashid told Jago News that two fake candidates were arrested and handed over to the police during the examination.
Sundarganj police officer-in-charge (OC) Md. Mahbub Alam said that two fake candidates were arrested during the examination. The process of filing a case against them is going on.
