José Miguel Insulza and Cristián Cruz on anti-terrorist law and short isapres law

In today’s vodcast, hosted by Mirna Schindler, security and current political issues were discussed after the tragic murder of three police officers in Cañete.

With the guest Jose Miguel InsulzaPS senator and former Minister of the Interior during the Lagos government, was analyzed the recent approval in the Senate of the new anti-terrorist law, along with the Rules for the Use of Force and the creation of the Ministry of Public Security.


In addition, the controversy generated by the proposal to restore military justice in cases of police or armed forces personnel was addressed, with the participation of the lawyer Cristian Cruz, specialized in Human Rights and plaintiff in the Caravan of Death case.

Along these lines, it was discussed the declaration of inadmissibility of said measure in the lower house, with a very close vote de 72 votes against, 71 in favor and one abstention. Despite the above, it was announced that the opposition will seek to reinstate the initiative in the Senate.
