Mammad Talibov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Panama, whose residence is in Mexico City, presented his credentials to the President of this country, Laurentino Cortizo Cohen.

At the ceremony held at the Presidential Palace located in the capital city of Panama, M. Talibov first conveyed the sincere greetings of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to President Laurentino Cortizo. Expressing his gratitude, the President of Panama asked to convey his deep respect and best wishes to President Ilham Aliyev.
During the conversation between President L. Cortizo and the ambassador, it was noted that there are continuous contacts, effective dialogue and mutually beneficial cooperation between Azerbaijan and Panama both bilaterally and within the framework of international organizations, including the Non-Aligned Movement.
President L. Cortizo said that the government he leads is interested in further strengthening the friendly and cooperative relations between Panama and Azerbaijan and wished Ambassador M. Talibov success in his future activities in this direction.
After the ceremony, a separate meeting was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Panama Janaina Tevaney and Ambassador M. Talibov. At the meeting, views were exchanged on the current state of relations between the two countries and other issues of mutual interest. In addition, it was stated that there is a potential for humanitarian, cultural, educational, as well as economic-commercial and mutual investment between the two countries.
