At first glance, it seems that Czech tennis player Andrea Sestini Hlaváčková (37) has been experiencing nothing but happiness in recent weeks. Not when she gave birth to her daughter Bea. But not everything is bathed in sunshine. Now she has published a terrifying news about her husband Fabrizio!
Sestini recently posted some scary post-surgery photos on his Instagram where he has a scar all over his neck. In the thank you post, he mentioned that he had undergone a thyroidectomy, the removal of his thyroid gland. However, it was not clear because of what illness, only Andrea revealed that now.
“The reality of our days. We’re two months into four and it’s humming. Since my friends write to me that it looks idyllic on IG, let’s summarize it chronologically nice week after week” wrote Hlaváčková on Instagram.
And the very first item on the list is really overwhelming. “Fabri was diagnosed with thyroid cancer,” shocked the former elite tennis player and added a list of everything that happened afterwards – from childbirth to surgery to various viruses and other troubles.
Afterwards, the ever-smiling athlete reassured her fans. “Let’s just say it wasn’t exactly a peaceful six months, that it’s not idyllic, but we’re fine and together. A little sweaty, but we give it” added the former world number three. Hopefully it will only get better!
