Libya begins its World Cup qualifiers campaign with a victory over Eswatini

Nelsport, November 17, 2023 (Al-Anbaa Libya) – The national team began its campaign in the African qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, scheduled to be held in Canada, the United States of America, and Mexico, with a victory over Asotini, 1-0, in the first round of the Group 4 teams for the same qualifiers.
The match, which took place this Friday evening on the field of Mbombela Stadium in the city of Nelspruit, South Africa, was attended by the national team without professionals, especially since Serbian coach Micho relied entirely on young faces supported by some elements of experience.
The first half of the confrontation, the national team tried hard to reach Eswatini’s goal, but all attempts failed, and the first half ended in a goalless draw.
The second half began quickly by the Eswatini national team, with a clear defensive formation for the national team, and the appearance of goalkeeper Murad Al-Wahshi on more than one occasion, keeping Eswatini balls away from his goal until Mishto adjusted the strings of his three lines.
The 53rd minute brought something new, as the national team was able to change the scoreboard with a long through ball sent by Taha Al-Shalawi with his left into the middle of the Eswatini defence, so the ball reached striker Ahmed Karaoua, who tamed the ball with his right and aimed the ball so that his shot caught the net of goalkeeper Shabalana, announcing the only goal of the match.
