Residents of the Talgar district of the Almaty region complain about long waits for ambulances, Liter.kz reports..

A video about the reason for ambulance delays appeared on the page Kris_p_talgar. In the footage of the video, the man explains that there are not enough ambulances and most of them need repairs.

The akimat of the Almaty region reported that an advertisement for the repair of ambulances was submitted on the government procurement portal on February 20. However, due to disputes between the participants, the contract with the supplier was concluded only on May 2.

On April 23, the deadline for the state audit to consider complaints from participants passed. After the response from the state audit, the announcement is subject to review within five working days in the quality control section of the electronic public procurement portal. The contract for the repair of ambulances was concluded with the supplier on May 2, the akimat reported.

The department responded that 40% of ambulances are under repair. The cars must be repaired within two weeks.

There are currently 100 emergency medical vehicles operating. Over the four months of this year, the emergency medical service station received 219,013 calls, the department informed.
