How Nauryz is celebrated in the capital

In the capital, folk festivals are held in all five districts, including festive programs organized in residential areas and at the courtyards of residential complexes, Liter.kz reports with reference to akimat city ​​of Astana.

On March 22, from 12:00 to 16:00, the main holiday concerts with the participation of Kazakh pop stars are held on the city square of the capital, near the Kazakh Eli and Baiterek monuments, in the territory of the capital’s park, and at the EXPO site.

The artists prepared animation, theatrical and concert programs for the townspeople. The concerts feature such pop stars and creative groups as Ulykpan Zholdasov, the group “Zaman”, Adilet Zhaugashar, Auka, Beibit Korgan, Kanat Umbetov, Abay Begey, Alisher Karimov, VIA “MURA” Aktoty Bolysheva, Aidar Baidildin, Kairat Baekenov, Trio “Altyn”, Kurmash Makhan, Timur Omarov, the group “Art dombyra”, the quartet “Aily”, the group “Saz”, the quartet “Royal”, Moldir Suleimenova and the ensemble of dombra players, Medet Salykov, Klara Tolenbaeva, Madi Kadyrov and many others.

Ethnic villages have been set up in public spaces, where food courts, fairs operate, master classes are held, and traditional rituals are demonstrated. At the same time, competitions in national sports are held from early morning, and the winners are awarded valuable prizes.

On March 22, from 13:00, the Pilaf Festival will continue in Central Park. Chefs from Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, etc. will cook. It is planned to produce Khan’s sorpa on a historical cauldron of the 18th century. Two yurts are organized by the embassies of Tajikistan and Iran. Guests will be told about the customs and features of Nauryz celebrations in these countries. Guests will also enjoy photo zones, animators-batyrs, golden eagles, basins, a concert program, and Nauryz-kozhe.
