Russia attacked the Ukrainian city of Krivi Rig and its surroundings last night with Iranian-made Shahed kamikaze drones, where they hit an electrical substation and left tens of thousands of people without electricity.

According to Oleksandr Vilkul, from the Krivi Rig Defense Council, the attack initially left around 100,000 people, companies and public institutions in different districts of the city without electricity.

However, the authorities assure that the supply has been restored for at least 60,000 of these subscribers.

More than 100 miners trapped

Among those affected by the electricity outage caused by the Russian attack are the 113 miners who were trapped underground without being able to get out, as the mine in which they worked lost power.

All the miners have now been able to come to the surface, according to Vilkul.

Located about 400 kilometers southeast of kyiv, the industrial city of Krivi Rig is often attacked by Russian drones and missiles.

Russia launched a total of 24 Shahed kamikaze drones against Ukrainian territory last night, of which 11 were shot down by Ukrainian air defenses in regions of northeastern, central and southern Ukraine, as reported by the Ukrainian Air Force. With EFE
