Kortessem –

After the battle between Liene and Fleur in The Voice of Flanders, Koen Wauters and Natalia expressed a preference for Fleur. But it was coach Mathieu Terryn who had the final say. He chose the narrative voice of 19-year-old Liene from Kortessem.

“It’s very simple, will it be West Flanders or Limburg in the team of a Ghent resident,” asked Aster Nzeyimana after each coach had had their say about the battle between Liene and Fleur on London Grammar’s Nightcall. It was Limburg, because Mathieu Terryn chose to take Liene from Kortessem to the next round. “I am very proud of both, but my gut feeling tells me to continue with Liene,” said the Bazart frontman. “I have a soft spot for real people, I like narrative voices. Liene’s ticks all the boxes.”
