All coaches performed for Liene Cuyx in The Voice of Flanders. But the 19-year-old from Kortessem still doubts herself when Mathieu Terryn puts her opposite Fleur in the battles. “I have confidence in myself, but not enough.”

Nightcall by London Grammar. That is the song that Mathieu Terryn chose for the two power voices from his team: Liene Cuyx from Kortessem and 20-year-old Fleur from Menen. “I think that’s the perfect center line where I can bring those two together,” the coach explains his choice of number. Liene really likes the song, but her opponent still gives her some fear. “Fleur also participated last year, so that scares me a bit. I have confidence in myself, but not enough, I think.” Liene is not only coached by Bazart’s frontman, Daan Stuyven also provides a lot of tips as an assistant coach. (nco)
