While working at the Hanoi Highway toll station, the male employee collided with a container truck and died on the spot.
On the afternoon of May 3, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nam – Deputy Director of Hanoi Highway Construction and Investment Joint Stock Company, the unit that manages and operates the BOT toll station – confirmed the incident of a toll collector dying. Died in a traffic accident while working at the station.
Currently, the unit is coordinating with Thu Duc City police force to clarify the cause.

According to initial information, the incident occurred at 12 noon on the same day in the non-stop toll lane (ETC lane) area of the Hanoi Highway BOT station. When the container truck was traveling on Vo Nguyen Giap street, in the direction of Thu Duc intersection to Rach Chiec bridge, moving through the ETC lane area, it collided with a male toll collector. The strong impact caused the victim to fall onto the road and die on the spot.
After the accident, Thu Duc City authorities were present to record the scene and extract cameras from the area to investigate the cause of the incident.
