Vienna (OTS) – In view of the shocking revelations by an anonymous employee about the abuses in the Ottakring clinic, the health spokesman for the FPÖ Vienna, LAbg. Wolfgang Seidl, feels compelled to point out the serious problems in the Viennese health care system. The conditions in the Ottakring Clinic, which are characterized by a lack of staff, overcrowded wards and treatment errors, represent an unacceptable risk to patient safety.
“What we are seeing here is a complete failure of those responsible, especially City Councilor for Health Hacker,” said Seidl. “Under his supervision, conditions have developed that not only endanger the health and well-being of the Viennese population, but also push the dedicated staff to their limits.”
The whistleblower’s report describes a disastrous situation in which staff are under enormous pressure and patients have to wait months for appointments. “This chaos is the direct result of a catastrophic personnel policy and poor leadership by SPÖ councilor Hacker,” explains Seidl.
The FPÖ Vienna sees the current incidents as a clear violation of responsibility towards the citizens of Vienna. Seidl is therefore calling for the immediate resignation of City Councilor for Health Hacker. “It is time for responsibility to be taken. We cannot and must not allow health care in our city to continue to suffer under such conditions,” concluded Seidl.
