Al-Shawi dives into social psychology

From the publications of the “Salma Cultural Library” in Tetouan, Mohamed Chaoui published a new book for which he chose the topic “Social Psychology: Studying the Beliefs and Ideologies of Jean-Pierre Duconchy… Towards an Analytical Approach to Discourse.”

The book includes “an analytical approach to contemporary social psychology discourse through the scientific contribution made by the French social psychologist Jean-Pierre Duconchy (1934-2014). This contribution stems from an organic relationship between theory and academic scientific practice from the perspective of experimental social psychology.”

The same source confirmed that “those who follow the scientific path with researcher Muhammad Al-Shawi will discover a unique and qualitative work that aims to present a horizon for scientific thinking in the Arabic language, engaging in the study of the works of Jean-Pierre Duconchy; This is done by approaching it in accordance with the controls of scientific and academic work for psychological, social and cognitive studies and research in the field of human and social sciences, and in order to create it within our culture in order to enrich the Arab library and open its window to this field.”

The subject of the book presents “an original vision of the cognitive paradigm of social psychology according to Jean-Pierre Duconchy, where the author followed the approach of discourse analysis in the humanities and social sciences in general, and in particular the social psychology model.”

This science is considered, according to the book’s purpose, “one of the most active sciences that belongs to the fold of the humanities and social sciences, and whose issues, themes and problems still touch the current reality. Therefore, the subject of social psychology is concerned with studying the social relationship that is established between the ego and others (individual or collective), By evoking the social milieu in its realistic or symbolic dimension, it is also the science that is concerned with studying the phenomena of ideology (cognitions and social representations) and the phenomena of communication.”

It is noteworthy that Muhammad Al-Shawi extended his sincere thanks, as stated in his description on “Facebook”, to Abdel Karim Belhaj for his beautiful scientific framing during the preparation stage when the book was a manuscript for a scientific article project until it became a book added to the social psychology books in the Arab Library, as well as He also extended thanks to the translator, Abdul Latif Al-Alami, for translating the French section of the book, quoting the Arabic summary.
