“Many factors must come together for this to happen. Perhaps Arshavin should not grow up between these walls – he will grow up somewhere else. But a player like me – it is not modesty – he is born every 10-20 years, maybe 50 years. He is in Russia,” said Arshavin.
Arshavin is a graduate of St. Petersburg “Smena”. In 1999, he made his debut at the highest level in “Zenit”. After nine years, he left the St. Petersburg team and moved to “Arsenal” of London. Arshavin played in England for four years. In April 2009, he was chosen as the league’s player of the month.
