Young man shot dead in Casa Campo while celebrating his birthday

After fighting for his life for more than two months, the young Misael Andrés Ballesteros Iguarán, 25, who was wounded by a gunshot while celebrating his birthday, died early this Friday morning in a health center in the city of Medellín. on November 7 in the Las Marías rural complex, via La Paz-Valledupar.

Ballesteros Iguarán, who was the promoter of the celebration, tried to prevent a group of motorcyclists from entering the building and in retaliation one of them shot him with a traumatic weapon, piercing his liver and pancreas.

According to relatives of the victim, the caravan of motorcycles arrived at the country complex and announced themselves to the security guard, who notified the hosts of the party and they denied passage.

However, the motorists continued their march and upon reaching the country house they jumped the fence, broke the doors and entered, leaving the balance described above.

Ballesteros was initially admitted to the ICU of the Simón Bolívar Pediatric Clinic in Valledupar, but due to complications from the injury to the pancreas he was sent to Medellín, where when attempting to undergo surgery he suffered a heart attack and died a few hours later.

Ballesteros works as a newspaper collector and lived in the Los Fundadores neighborhood of Valledupar. In this case, one person was captured at the scene.
