As part of the monitoring carried out by the Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency (AFSA), samples were taken from the fattening product “Samyun Wan”, which is presented to consumers as a biologically active food product through electronic commerce, and subjected to laboratory tests.

It was reported that according to the test results of the samples, an extraneous chemical substance, which is not characteristic of biologically active food products and considered dangerous for human health, was found in the composition of “Samyun Wan” preparations.
“It should be noted that this foreign chemical substance, which is prohibited to be used in the production of that product, can cause serious complications by having negative effects on human life and health.
We also inform you that the drug “Samyun Wan” brought to our country illegally is not a biologically active food product, and the Agency is taking appropriate measures to prevent such cases. The sale of biologically active food products is carried out with appropriate accompanying documents issued by the Food Safety Agency. Therefore, citizens are requested to request a food safety certificate from the seller when purchasing these products. At the same time, if any inconsistency is observed, they should report it to the Agency’s “1003” Call Center.
The agency continues its consistent measures to protect the health of the population and provide them with safe food products and will prevent illegal situations aimed at violating consumer rights,” AQTA said.
