Denmark announced today that it will provide Ukraine with a new package of military aid worth 1.7 billion Danish crowns (5.8 billion CZK). It includes, among other things, finances for the purchase of 15,000 artillery shells, which will be donated in the following months in cooperation with the Czech Republic, wrote the DPA agency.

Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen also informed today, that her country concluded a security agreement with Ukraine in which it commits to providing Kiev with military support for the next ten years. Recently, Britain, Germany and France have also concluded bilateral security agreements with Ukraine.

Copenhagen has already promised to send F-16 fighter jets to Kyiv, and according to Prime Minister Frederiksen’s statement today, Denmark could deliver the first of them to Ukraine in the summer.
