Ukraine confirms “secret meetings” with NATO generals

The head of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Valeri Zaluzhny, constantly holds meetings with NATO partners, said the advisor to the head of the Presidential Office of Ukraine, Mikhail Podoliak, commenting on The Guardian’s publication about an alleged meeting of the military man with colleagues of the Alliance “in a secret location” to discuss kyiv’s strategy.

«This is a secret meeting for the media. Zaluzhny actively communicates with representatives of the defense ministries or general staffs of our partners. Almost daily,” Podoliak commented on a Ukrainian television channel.

According to The Guardian, the “unusual” Zaluzhny talks took place almost 500 kilometers from kyiv and lasted five hours. The objective of the meetings was to try to help “reset” Ukraine’s military strategy: decide what to do in the face of the paralysis of the progress of its counteroffensive.

The British newspaper notes that the meeting was attended by the commander-in-chief of NATO forces in Europe, US Army General Christopher Cavoli, and Admiral Tony Radakin, chief of the Defense Staff of the British Army. .
