“The French will not die for Ukraine. We will not send troops to conduct combat operations. The frames are designed to prevent Russia from winning, while not fighting back. In these frameworks, nothing is excluded, as the president of the republic said,” TASS quotes his words.

On February 26, French President Emmanuel Macron announced that at a meeting held in Paris, where representatives of about 20 Western countries discussed further support for Ukraine in the conflict against Russia, the topic of the possible sending of ground forces of Western countries to Ukraine was raised. According to him, the participants did not come to an agreement on that issue, but such a scenario cannot be ruled out in the future.

After the conference, the representatives of the majority of the participating countries announced that they do not plan to send troops to Ukraine.
