A playful approach to contemporary art with the “Children’s World of Austria”
Vienna (OTS) – The SPARK ART FAIR VIENNA, Austria’s leading international fair for contemporary art in the MARX HALLE, opens its doors to the youngest art enthusiasts among us on Sunday, March 17, 2024. Together with “Kinderwelt Österreich”, SPARK offers children a colorful afternoon program in the truest sense of the word. From 1 p.m., the stage belongs to the little artists and their companions, who can have fun modeling and building with modeling wax, modeling clay and play corn, as well as an upcycling art project. There will also be a painting competition at the kids event. Admission for children and young people up to 14 years of age is of course free. Accompanying adults receive a 50% discount on the normal price at the box office, so they only pay 9 euros per ticket.
“For many people, their love of art begins in childhood. With this campaign, the SPARK ART FAIR wants to provide access to contemporary art in a playful way – and at the same time invite parents to visit the fair at a family-friendly rate,” say the artistic directors of SPARK, Walter Seidl and Jan Gustav Fiedler, looking forward to the special event event.
All art stations are supervised by pedagogically trained employees from “Kinderwelt Österreich”. The children are invited to take part with an accompanying person. Material, furniture, play equipment and wet wipes for washing off the paint are available free of charge in a separate area at the trade fair.
