Speaker of the Armenian Parliament Alen Simonyan said that changes should be made to the Constitution of Azerbaijan and this should be based on the principle of mirroring with Armenia.
Publika.az reports that during a joint press conference with his Czech colleague, he gave the following answer to the question to what extent what was said about the need for a new Constitution of Armenia was related to Baku’s pressures.
“The next time you want to ask Armenian officials to what extent the need for a new Constitution is related to Azerbaijan’s demand, know that Armenian officials also raise the issue of the need for changes to Azerbaijan’s constitution in the negotiations. There is a need to change the provisions that should be reflected in the Constitution of Azerbaijan,” he added.
He said that any negotiations conducted by the Armenian side are conducted by the mirror method. If any proposals are made during these negotiations, then they should concern both Armenia and Azerbaijan for the sake of future sustainable peace.
