She was jolted out of her peaceful contemplation in an exotic paradise by one of the worst news she could ever hear. Michaela Saláková, wife of hockey goalie Alexander Salák (both 37) and mother of six children, learned over the weekend that one of the most beloved people in her life had died!

At the end of last calendar year, Míša posted a video on social networks of the first meeting of her grandmother (†99) with her youngest child, Marvínek. But now the smile and joy have been replaced by tears. Grandma died. Unfortunately, she will not celebrate her 100th birthday, which she would have had in half a year.

“My beloved grandmother left us forever yesterday. The bravest and strongest woman. I’m speechless, I still can’t believe her passing and I hope she’s waiting for me so I can hug her one last time.” Míša said sadly on Instagram.

The wife of the former guard of the Spartan cage subsequently stated that she was not ready for this moment. She firmly believed that in half a year she would celebrate her 100th birthday. But that won’t happen anymore.

“I believed that after returning from Bali, I would still have a chance to caress her and say goodbye. I’m terribly sorry. Grandma, it will take me a few more days to digest this bad dream. It hurts, so bad. Now you and mom are together. Take care of us. I love you so much and thank you for everything” Misha concluded the heartbreaking message.
