Nguyen Thuy Linh and Le Duc Phat attend the Paris Olympics

After Nguyen Thuy Linh, tennis player Le Duc Phat also officially has a ticket to attend the 2024 Paris Olympics in badminton.

On April 30, the Badminton World Federation (BWF) announced the latest rankings and also determined the results of the official qualification for the 2024 Paris Olympics. Accordingly, Vietnamese badminton had 2 players who passed the round. The categories are Nguyen Thuy Linh and Le Duc Phat.

Previously, Thuy Linh (24th in the world) held the 17th rank on the rankings for players competing for Olympic tickets, so she had a ticket to the 2024 Olympics. This is the second time a tennis player from Phu Tho has entered her name in the Olympics.

Meanwhile, Le Duc Phat (74 in the world) finished ranked 34/38 in the qualifying rankings, enough to get a ticket to the Paris Olympics, thereby for the first time in his career to attend the biggest playground on the planet. Thus, Vietnamese badminton completed its goal of winning 2 tickets to the Olympics.

Up to now, Vietnamese sports have won 10 spots to attend the 2024 Paris Olympics including: Trinh Thu Vinh, Le Thi Mong Tuyen (shooting), Nguyen Huy Hoang (swimming), Nguyen Thi That (bicycle), Trinh Van Vinh (weightlifting), Vo Thi Kim Anh (boxing), Nguyen Thi Huong (canoeing), Pham Thi Hue (rowing), Nguyen Thuy Linh, Le Duc Phat (badminton).
