Great words of support poured in on the account of the father of the dead girl after the whole horror unfolded on Saturday. It was she who died together with her mother Linda and her older half-brother at the hands of Tomáš.
“You know how the two children always cried that they didn’t want to be there, that Tomáš was bad. You were the best dad under the sun. Only with you were they truly happy” friends write to the ex-partner of the dead Linda. Tomáš, who committed suicide after a cruel act, is then called by some a junkie.
Linda’s ex-partner, Mr. Jiří, drew attention to his tendency to use marijuana on the social network. “The next time someone is lobbying for the legalization of marijuana and other crap, please remember this photo. They are my children, 5 and 7 years old, who were found with their mother yesterday. They were killed by her boyfriend and the boy’s father. Who also hewed and cultivated and occasionally had a gram,’ he wrote on Facebook. You can feel the pain he is experiencing from his words. Could marijuana really be behind the horrific act? Aggression goes out
According to leading Czech addictologist Michal Miovský, cannabis drugs significantly change a person’s experience and psyche, both from the point of view of acute intoxication and from the point of view of long-term use, including gradual changes in behavior and reactions.
“When someone is prone to highly aggressive behavior, cannabis can help the aggression to come out. However, it is complete nonsense that cannabis substances “turn a lamb into a wolf” – because their effect on human behavior is exactly the opposite. They significantly reduce aggressive behavior, and their use generally leads to passive behavior and greater self-absorption, rather than solving the environment.” Michal Miovský, head of the Department of Addiction at the General University Hospital in Prague, explains to Blesk.
Influence of alcohol
According to the addictologist, the potential effect of cannabis drugs in terms of violent criminal activity is secondary and does not bear comparison, not even remotely, with alcohol or meth, which are basically one of the most dangerous substances for violent criminal activity.
“This applies to both acute intoxication and long-term use. If someone uses alcohol for a long time, then this factor plays a key role in terms of violent crime, and the influence of cannabis is negligible under these circumstances and has no relation to it. Such a connection is essentially a manifestation of a simple popular stereotype without any factual support.” concludes Michal Miovský.
