Publika.az reports that the voting process in the extraordinary presidential elections to be held on February 7 will take place in 3 precincts in the liberated city of Fuzuli. According to the information provided by Ramiz Teymurov, Chairman of the District Election Commission of Fuzuli Election District No. 84, 54,457 voters were registered in 77 polling stations in the district. 3,619 of them will vote in polling stations No. 75, 76 and 77 in the territories liberated from occupation. 1,292 people registered in polling station No. 77 are former IDPs who returned to the city of Fuzuli. 1,351 people who will vote in polling station No. 75, and 976 people in polling station No. 76 are working in the territories liberated from occupation.

1020 observers have been registered to monitor the election process in the district, and 24 of these observers will participate in polling stations that are freed from occupation.

One of the residents who will participate in the voting is Elmir Ismayilov. He said that he will willingly vote in the extraordinary presidential elections to be held on February 7. “We returned to our homeland as victorious citizens of the country. We will witness another history in our own hands.”

Vagif Khanlarov is one of the residents who returned to Fuzuli. He participated in the battles for Fuzuli during the First Karabakh War. He said that the blood of our heroic sons was shed for every inch of these lands, so it is a matter of pride to live and build here. “I feel like the happiest person in the world, because I am one of those who participated in voting for the first time in Fuzuli. Now we are preparing for another historic day in the lands we once fought for. For 30 years, we longed for every inch of these mountains, valleys, and our native land. But now “We have returned to our own hands as a victorious people. Every condition has been created for us in the rebuilt city of Fuzuli. We welcomed many holidays in Fuzuli with joy and pride. And now the presidential elections are coming. I will participate in these elections with great confidence,” he added.
