The shocked parents of a thirteen-year-old student from Blovice in the Pilsen region contacted the police. Their daughter was supposed to be the victim of brutal bullying from her elementary school classmates. The girl was supposed to be forced by her peers to perform extremely disgusting and perverse practices. Due to her age, police have decided not to release further details.
Karel Kovář confirmed that the case has an extreme nature and is currently the subject of a police investigation. “Yes, if I have information about this case, it is extreme, which is why the Police of the Czech Republic is dealing with it,” stated
The Czech School Inspectorate received a report on a case of bullying at an elementary school in Blovice in January 2024. “Currently, the case is so serious that it is being handled by the police, who have not yet invited the Czech School Inspectorate to cooperate,” emphasized Kovář. He added that the ČSI would only be called in if necessary, either during the investigation or after its completion, when examined how the school was able to apply preventive measures, preventive programs and what are the causes from the school’s point of view.
The most serious case in the history of the Inspection?
“Such a serious case has not yet been dealt with by the Czech School Inspectorate,” admitted that they currently have three cases at the elementary school in Blovice, but also emphasized that none of them is as serious as the current case of bullying. In one of the cases, the inspection identified the aggressive behavior of one pupil, but ultimately came to the conclusion that it was not bullying. “These were manifestations of the risky behavior of a student who had more or less aggressive behavior towards students, but it did not carry over into long-term group discussions, he was more, let’s say, an impulsive student,” he added and at the same time emphasized that the ČSI will carefully monitor the situation and at the present moment it is necessary to wait for the results of the police investigation before deciding on further steps.
