“You know what the most important truth this whole process has taught us? If you want peace and tranquility, you must be ready for war”, said the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, today (24/2), speaking at a pre-election rally in Sangario.
“Yes, as Turkey and the Turkish nation, if we want to live in peace and security in these lands, the work we must do is clear. We will have a strong military and a strong defense industry. And at sea, and in the air, and on land,” he continued.
“For other countries, these may be an option, but for Turkey it is an obligation to be strong in every field. Otherwise, neither International Law can protect us from our enemies, nor the alliances to which we belong, nor the United Nations, whose incompetence is now universally accepted, can protect us.
The only thing that will protect us from our enemies is our own fruit. Our own strength. Our means and capabilities. Otherwise they won’t even let us breathe in this geography. We see this with painful examples in our immediate environment,” added the president of Turkey.
“They didn’t give us ammunition. They even prevented us from buying weapons, of which we are today one of the largest producers and exporters in the world.
And then what happened? We started making the weapons ourselves and now they want weapons from us.
Therefore, it is a matter of survival for us to have KAAN fighter jets, the Anadolu ship, Akinji, Red Apple, Anka drones, Altay tanks, howitzers and various missile systems.
If we had not implemented all these Defense Industry projects, I don’t even want to think about what situation we would be in today. May Allah protect!” concluded Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
