On December 8, Chiriguaná dresses up on the red carpet, with the “Entérese 2023 Awards”, which seek to recognize the work and leadership of different personalities in this region of the department.
This year the Life and Excellence category will be in tribute to the vallenato minstrel Marcial Pava Domínguez, a renowned artist who with his lyrics and accordion sounds has made a significant contribution to Chiriguanero culture and folklore.
The Secretary of the Departmental Government, Eduardo Esquivel López, will receive the “Person of the Year” award, for his commitment and leadership in the management that he has carried out over the years for this region. In total there are 17 categories that are chosen, where politics, culture, music, management, sports, health and the JAC are the protagonists.
Luis Fernández, director of the “Entérese Awards”, stated that this initiative is done as a motivation for the new generations, but also as an exaltation to so many men and women who, with their talent, commitment and leadership, work and give their best to leave the name of Chiriguaná high.
