“President Ilham Aliyev touched on a number of important points during his interview with local television channels. At the same time, he shared his views on the peace agenda. Azerbaijan’s agenda for sustainable development and cooperation in the South Caucasus is quite open and there is nothing hidden here. Because in the matter of the 5-point principle, all relations must be regulated.”

He also said that the 5-point principle is the initiative of Azerbaijan, which won the war:
“No matter how much Armenia talks about peace today and expresses its intention to sign peace, a number of issues have not yet been resolved. Armenia still has not fulfilled its obligations. Communication with Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic is not provided. Failure to provide this connection also means economic losses. Geopolitics is an element that makes rapprochement a bit more difficult. It is a product of the aggressive thinking of Armenia. It is important to resolve a number of technical issues and demonstrate political will.
Because Article 9 of the tripartite agreement signed on November 10, 2020 says so and assumes obligations on the Prime Minister of Armenia. At the same time, the President touched on issues related to the principles and mechanisms of the Zangezur Corridor. The Armenian leadership should take these ideas seriously and implement them, these issues should be resolved soon.”
