During the opening, the Governor of the Capital stressed the Kingdom’s advanced system in managing traffic movement and working to streamline it through the field efforts of traffic officers and police, and the continuous development of traffic services and their digital transformation, in a manner that translates the directives of His Excellency General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, to To raise traffic safety rates by consolidating the concepts of community partnership and increasing traffic awareness for all age groups according to the latest methods.
His Excellency the Governor of the Capital praised the success of the traffic plan implemented by the General Traffic Department during hosting the Gulf Air Formula 1 Bahrain Grand Prix to ensure the safety of the public’s exit from the Bahrain International Circuit smoothly, praising at the same time their great role in making traffic movement a success during the events and forums hosted by the Kingdom.
For his part, Director General of the General Traffic Department, Brigadier General Sheikh Abdul Rahman bin Abdul Wahhab Al Khalifa, indicated that the General Traffic Department is working in accordance with the directives of His Excellency the Minister of the Interior regarding the need to continue efforts to enhance traffic safety for all road users, and to continue working to reduce the rate of accidents, develop services provided to the public and encourage their completion electronically with Strengthening relations with the private sector in providing services and achieving partnerships for the awareness and media programs provided by the administration.
