Today, Thursday, the delegation of the Parliamentary Division of the Kingdom of Bahrain participated in a virtual workshop organized by the Inter-Parliamentary Union on the emerging impacts of artificial intelligence on society (the second part of the series of virtual events on artificial intelligence), which comes within a series of 3 workshops organized by the Union to build capabilities. Parliamentarians on artificial intelligence, and within the framework of interest in studying the impact of artificial intelligence on democracy, human rights and the rule of law.
The Parliamentary Division delegation was represented at this event by Their Excellencies members of the Shura Council: Attorney Dalal Jassim Al-Zayed, Chairman of the Legislative and Legal Affairs Committee, Member of the Committee on Respect for International Humanitarian Law of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, and Member Dr. Bassam Ismail Al-Bin Muhammad, member Hala Ramzi Fayez, member of the Women’s Parliamentarians’ Office in the Union, and member Ali Hussein Al-Shehabi, while on the part of the House of Representatives, His Excellency Representative Hassan Ibrahim, and His Excellency Representative Dr. Mahdi Abdulaziz Al-Shuwaikh.
