Under the patronage of His Excellency Mr. Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Speaker of the Shura Council, and in the presence of His Excellency Mr. Ahmed bin Salman Al Muslim, Speaker of the House of Representatives, His Excellency Mr. Jamil bin Mohammed Humaidan, Minister of Labour, His Excellency Mr. Osama bin Khalaf Al Asfour, Minister of Social Development, and His Excellency MP Ahmed Sabah Al Salloum, President of the Bahrain Society For the development of small and medium enterprises, a large number of Their Excellencies, members of the House of Representatives and the Shura Council, senior Bahraini merchants, and representatives of embassies, held the closing ceremony of the “Economic Decision Makers” program for its fifth and sixth sessions.
26 graduates of entrepreneurs and owners of small and medium enterprises were honored during the ceremony, bringing the total number of graduates – as the President of the Association confirmed in his speech – to 154 graduates over 6 continuous years. This is in addition to honoring the lecturers and sponsors of the Association (National Bank of Bahrain, Tamkeen). , Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait, Ahli United Bank), and the media sponsor of the program is the Bahraini newspaper “Al-Bilad”.
This year, the program included 38 lectures and workshops throughout the programme, presented by 17 lecturers from 6 Arab and foreign countries: Bahrain, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Syria and the Netherlands.
In his speech at the conclusion of the program, His Excellency the Speaker of the Shura Council affirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain is thanks to the initiatives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the great monarch of the country, may God protect and preserve him, and his lofty and forward-looking vision, and His Majesty’s absolute interest in investing in the human element and empowering Bahraini youth. Putting him on the right path to hard, fruitful work and supporting small national enterprises contributed to supporting and developing the national economy, and achieving many achievements and successes in implementing Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030, which enjoys the patronage and attention of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Chairman of the Council of Ministers. Ministers, may God protect him, as His Highness’s encouragement of the Bahrain team in various sectors constitutes the basis for continuing to implement the vision and evaluating what has been achieved during the past years.
His Excellency continued, saying, “Our meeting today is of special importance, as it coincides with the directives of His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, to begin conducting consultations with the legislative authority, the private sector, professional associations, and civil society institutions, to formulate Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2050, where it is located.” We all have a responsibility to cooperate and join hands in order to contribute to developing constructive visions and ideas that support reaching an economic vision that achieves sustainable development and raises levels of progress and development in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The Minister of Labor continued, saying, “In light of the aspirations of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Prime Minister, may God protect him, which were recently announced by the Council of Ministers, to begin evaluating the achievements of Bahrain Vision 2030, and to call for launching consultations with the legislative authority and the private sector, Professional associations, civil society institutions, think tanks and creativity, to formulate Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2050, is an important beginning to continue building the prospects for a promising and constructive future, as achieved in the spirit of determination and high national responsibility. There is no doubt that such forums are gaining importance. Doubly so, as it constitutes one of the important platforms and a valuable opportunity through which many visions can be presented that can enrich the growth and development movement, especially with the presence of emerging entrepreneurs who aspire to a prosperous future, based on innovation and understanding the challenges of growth and development.”
Humaidan stressed that the government of the Kingdom of Bahrain has developed plans and initiatives that enable small and medium enterprises to carry out the role assigned to them, benefiting from the programs and benefits of support provided by the Labor Fund (Tamkeen), where everyone can feel the effects of the initiatives drawn up by the government within the National Labor Market Plan for the years. 2023-2026 AD, and other plans and programs in cooperation with all relevant authorities.

I would like to draw your kind attention that this association, “the Bahrain Society for the Development of Small and Medium Enterprises,” since its first building was laid, has had at the heart of its founding papers that it submitted to the relevant government agencies one goal only, which is “to support Bahrain Vision 2030 and contribute to its success,” and today we are proceeding on We renew the pledge to our wise leadership. We support their efforts and stress their support… and we follow their path in the paths of work and excellence towards Bahrain Vision 2050, God willing.
And here we are today, after six years of the program’s existence, today we celebrate the graduation of 26 of the association’s esteemed members, so that the total number of graduates from the program over its six years has reached 154 graduates of entrepreneurs affiliated with and members of the association, in addition to dozens who attended some of the workshops as guests. The association is welcome at all times.
