Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA) central committee election will be held on September 21. On this occasion, an election commission of five members has been formed.

Earlier, BMA elections were held in December 2016. As such, elections are going to be held again after seven years.

According to the notification, the BMA Central Council meeting held on February 17th will be held on September 21st, according to the decision of the agenda-4 and 5 and subsection 21.1, 21.2 of the constitution.

It mentions that a five-member commission has been formed to conduct the election. The former Director General of the Department of Health as president of the commission. Shah Monir Hossain and former director will serve as editor. Md. Belal Hossain.

Besides, the former director of family planning department (MCH) is a member. Jafar Ahmed Hakim, former director of the Department of Health Dr. Jasim Uddin Khan and BMRC former director Dr. Md. Ruhul Amin.

The notification also said that the Election Commission will conduct the election and announce the election schedule according to the constitution of the association.
